So we’re now into week three. My not so large to begin with, almost non-existent, store of patience has been exhausted and I have begun doing what is classified by my family as ’stupid’ things. These things involve pain and pushing myself and generally suck.

However, today’s post is not about me. It is about writers and supporting them. Random plug: isn’t it pretty? Even if it’s lacking in content.

So Rilla writes poetry and Gayleen writes novels. G is participating in the 3 day novel contest on Book TV and has offered up a spot on her message board to the person who gets her the most votes on the Book TV web site poll. So Rilla has written a poem and is putting forward a campaign to help Gayleen win the poll and thus get her poem on the TV. So my deconstruction of my apartment has begun. The furniture is still in tact as is the kitchen, but everything else is in boxes already. Soon I will scatter myself amongst Calgary and Stoon again for another 4 months.

I won’t post any spoilers, but despite my well known… erm - ‘fanaticism’ seems the best word despite other persons uses of the phrase ‘puritanical’… about the conversions of written works into movies I have no complaints about this conversion. Yes, it wasn’t the book - the book’s ending was not hollywood suitable. But it was gorgeous. Absolutely worth the jail break and I absolutely must see it again on the big screen before I purchase it on DVD.

O the costumes!! O the swashbuckling!! Also the bizarre realization that I actually enjoy Claire Daines as an actress. One of the best monologues on love to be put out by hollywood in eons.

Now I want to go make pretty costumes, but instead it’s back into my cell to start packing. Well, it was a nice jail break.

And on a random note: Where the hell did August go?

Countdown to potential freedom: 2 weeks down, 2 to go.

Out to watch the Last Bourne Movie.

1 week since I did this. 3 to go until I get (hopefully) out of the walking cast.

Stupid Left Ankle - who really needs it?

Yup. 4 weeks minimum in a walking cast with crutches and then if it’s healed enough I get to come out of the cast.

There are not enough curse words in all of the languages I know to express my unhappiness.

Why now? Seriously sucks.

So anyone I had plans with in August consider them rain checked until further notice. As for the September move… I really don’t freakin’ know what’s going on with that.

I’m taking suggestions on ways to keep me still for a whole month. A whole lot of suggestions is preferred. : (
