I’m looking forward to July, but this is not a good time. Both Parental units are down and out so groceries etc are down to just me.

Based on your answers to the quiz, your character’s most likely alignment is Neutral Good.

Neutral Good

A neutral good character does the best that a good person can do. He is devoted to helping others. He works with kings and magistrates but does not feel beholden to them. The common phrase for neutral good is “true good.” Neutral good is the best alignment you can be because it means doing what is good without bias toward or against order.

So we all know that Microsoft’s sales of Vista have been… not as substantial as they hoped.

But here’s my comment to them: if there was an actual benefit to upgrading then people would do it.

However I can’t see why anyone would voluntarily submit themselves to an OS that’s not particularly backwards compatible and has been known to completely die when versions of programs which are supposedly built for it cause it to completely die. I really can’t.

Having said that, underneath the Vista hype Microsoft also launched a new version of office this year. Didn’t know? You’re not alone. Want to find out something else they don’t tell you before you buy it? (if you already did – my sympathies) Office 07 defaults to the new format – which isn’t backwards compatible – and there is no where to set it to default to the format already used by hundreds, nay hundreds of thousands of businesses. Including most to all of my clients. Now when MS released Office 2003 they didn’t announce the end of life of the Office XP/2002/2000.

But this time – because sales of Office 07 have been so *shockingly* low – Microsoft has announced an end of life for Office 2003/XP/2002/2000.

Which means that I’m trying to get copies of Office 03 stock piled for the various companies using Sharepoint 03 since it ties to Office 03 and I’ll be damned if I’m going to shepherd them through an upgrade to SP 07 and Office 07 because Microsoft didn’t bother to allow the default format to be backwards compatible in their new programs.

Their marketing for the new programs has been good – but if the programs are crap what does it matter?

You Are An ENTP

The Visionary

You are charming, outgoing, friendly. You make a good first impression.
You possess good negotiating skills and can convince anyone of anything.
Happy to be the center of attention, you love to tell stories and show off.
You’re very clever, but not disciplined enough to do well in structured environments.

In love, you see everything as a grand adventure. You enjoy taking risks for love.
And if things don’t work out, you’re usually not too much worse for the wear!

You would make a great entrepreneur, marketing executive, or actor.

At work, you need a lot of freedom to pursue your own path and vision.
How you see yourself: Analytical, creative, and peaceful

When other people don’t get you, they see you as: Detached, wishy-washy, and superficial

What’s Your Personality Type?

Other than that not much is new. I’ve been working – yes shocking I know – and I’m actually going through a batch of empty nest syndrome. I had two servers and a laptop with me for the last week and some. Now they’ve all moved to their new home. *sniff* It feels odd to have that much space available in my work area right now. Soon I’ll fill some of it back up though – I’ve a coding project that needs some attention asap and a couple other projects which should start filling my time. But aside from work I am a rather dull creature lately which contributes to the lack of blog posts….

So my wireless is still flaky – drops in and out on a somewhat random basis.

But its better than nothing.

So I’ve uploaded some pictures, including of the Hello Kitty Toaster, onto Flickr: flickr.com/photos/53262557@N00/

Other than that I am starting to think that work is out to kill me, but really have no proof.
