It’s a crazy time of year in the office right now.

We’ve got three summer students, we’ve got a fourth arriving next Monday. And we still can’t get everything done.

Last night my mobile phone died - the battery absolutely refuses to hold a charge so today I had to buy a new phone at the airport. Realized I’d forgotten the old one and so couldn’t use the new phone until I purchased a new number. Since then I’ve spent every moment on the phone with the office getting the last of everything sorted out for the summer students, the concurrency testing we’re running on Wednesday, getting the last of the software shipped to Malaysia I need for the workshop that the company doesn’t have, and finally getting the last of the project documents sent to a client.

I feel crazy.

So I went to Thailand on business and originally I was expected to squeeze about 5 hours of non-work sightseeing time into the trip - which would have been okay.

Instead I managed to fit in 1 hour of massage and less than 1 hour of actually seeing the country. On the bright side, it is a beautiful country and the people were very very nice.

To be honest I now understand why it’s one of the world’s preferred destination vacations and think that I would like to eventually go back there solely for a vacation.

I realized on the flight that Singapore has wormed its way into my heart because I feel as happy landing here as I do landing in Calgary or Saskatoon.

There’s so very much going on at work, so I’m sorry I forgot to post sooner and will try to write again at least every couple of days.

Well, soon anyways.

Fly there tomorrow morning to give a workshop. Back Tuesday.

Not a lot of site seeing this trip. But I’m too tired to care right now.
